1. Overview

Filezor ("we", "us", "our") is a free online file conversion service. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Filezor, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version: we do not sell your data, we do not read your files, and we delete your uploads automatically.

2. Data we collect

Files you upload

When you convert a file, it is temporarily uploaded to our servers solely for the purpose of processing the conversion. We do not read, analyse, index, or share the contents of your files. See Section 3 for retention details.

Technical data

When you visit Filezor we automatically receive standard web server log data, including:

• IP address (anonymised after 24 hours)
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time spent
• Referring URL

This data is used solely for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics (e.g., understanding which tools are most used). It is never sold or shared with advertisers.

No account data

Filezor does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information unless you contact us directly (see Section 7).

3. How your files are handled

• Upload: Your file is transferred over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• Processing: The file is temporarily stored on our server while the conversion runs. The conversion happens in an isolated temporary directory.
• Deletion: Both the original upload and the converted output are automatically deleted within 1 hour of the conversion completing, regardless of whether you downloaded the result.
• No backups: We do not back up user-uploaded files to any cold storage or long-term archive.
• No sharing: Your files are never shared with, sold to, or accessible by any third party.

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the service to function (e.g., session state). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

5. Third parties

Filezor uses the following third-party services:

• Vercel - frontend hosting and CDN (privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Cloud hosting provider - backend server for file processing. Files are processed in memory or ephemeral storage only.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any behavioural advertising tools.

6. Your rights

Because we do not store personal data beyond your IP address (anonymised within 24 hours) and server logs, most data subject rights are automatically satisfied. Specifically:

• Right to deletion: Your files are deleted automatically within 1 hour. Server logs are purged after 30 days.
• Right of access: We hold minimal data. You may contact us to confirm what (if anything) we hold about your IP address.
• Right to object: You can use Filezor without providing personal data. Cookies can be disabled in your browser.
